Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Skeena

Skeena Gold + Silver is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead effective geotechnical engineering programs for the Eskay Creek Project. This site-based role focuses on operations readiness and risk management in a remote mining environment.
As part of Skeena's technical team, you will provide leadership in geotechnical engineering while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include developing monitoring programs, conducting slope stability assessments, and collaborating with various departments to mitigate geotechnical risks. Your efforts will contribute directly to the safe operation of the Eskay Creek mine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead geotechnical monitoring and reporting programs for operational readiness

• Support slope design and stability management initiatives

• Conduct assessments using analytical modeling techniques

• Oversee instrumentation programs and provide timely recommendations

• Mentor junior staff and communicate technical information effectively
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines

• Minimum 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience

• Registered P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC

• Proficiency in geotechnical software packages

• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate
