Position: REGISTERED NURSE (RN), OPERATING ROOM
Position Summary
Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Kitimat General Hospital.

In accordance with established hospital policies and procedures provides and co-ordinates nursing care to assigned patients consistent with current standards of nursing practice and the clinical specialty of operating room nursing and post-anaesthetic care nursing. Nursing responsibilities include scheduled on-call responsibilities for emergency surgery and PACU assignment.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, 07:30 to 15:30, 09:00 to 17:00 (rotating)

A first in Canada: minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPR) are starting in .! Qualfications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

• Post diploma certification in operating room techniques and procedures, or post diploma course in post-anaesthetic care nursing, OR Equivalent combination of training and experience in . and .

• Critical care skills an asset.
