Emergency Registered Nurse General

Elevate patient care as an Emergency Registered Nurse at Kitimat General Hospital. You will provide vital nursing care to patients with diverse health issues in a collaborative environment.

The Registered Nurse will focus on delivering compassionate care within the Emergency department. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in nursing, with required qualifications including graduation from an approved nursing school and registration with BCCNM. Specialized emergency nursing skills, including cardiac monitoring and IV therapy initiation, are necessary for effectively addressing urgent patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and plan individualized nursing care for diverse patients

• Collaborate with an interprofessional team for optimal outcomes

• Perform and evaluate ongoing patient assessments

• Initiate and maintain intravenous therapy as needed

• Communicate effectively with patients and families across various settings

Requirements:

• RN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Completion of an Emergency Nursing specialty program

• Current BLS and ACLS certification

• Physical ability to fulfill nursing duties

• Strong decision-making skills in emergency situations
