As a key member of the Indigenous Care Team, you will work under the Coordinator to ensure service practices respect Indigenous cultures and foster patient relations. Your expertise will be instrumental in building bridges with local Indigenous communities, enriching health care policies from diverse perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consult on protocols ensuring Indigenous patient respect
• Develop strong ties with Indigenous community groups
• Inform policy updates with cultural safety initiatives
• Connect patients with community resources during discharge
• Advise clinical teams on best practices in service delivery
Requirements:
• Preference given to Indigenous candidates, including First Nation
• Deep understanding of community engagement in health sectors
• Proven skills in communication and advisory roles
• Experience in culturally competent service practices
• Ability to collaborate across teams for community benefit
