The Kitimat Community Development Centre is a CARF accredited, non‑profit organization that serves Kitimat and Kitamaat Village. We offer three streams of support services for families, children and adult services that support a fully inclusive and inviting environment.

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our multi‑disciplinary team to work with children birth‑19 years of age. Using family‑centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma‑informed approaches to provide assessment, intervention, consultation and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessments and individualized therapy plans for children and youth aged 0–19.
- Deliver services in clinic, home and community settings.
- Support families with education, coaching, and strategies for daily routines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and community partners.
- Participate in program development and community outreach.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to outcome tracking.
- Uphold professional standards and trauma‑informed, inclusive practices.
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with College of Health and Care Professionals BC (or eligibility).
- Experience working with pediatric populations in community or school settings.
- Strong understanding of child development and family‑centered care.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for community visits.
