Community Connection Worker

Position: Full-Time Community Connection Worker Role
Become a vital part of the Haisla Nation as a Community Connection Worker. This full-time role integrates advocacy, direct support, and community outreach to uplift members facing challenges.

As part of the Social Services team, this position centers on providing crucial links to health and social resources for Haisla community members. You'll establish strong relationships while addressing individual needs through culturally competent programming. This role requires proactive communication and a deep understanding of community dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person support and conduct wellness checks

• Connect clients to essential health and education services

• Facilitate access to transitional housing and emergency shelters

• Document client interactions and assist in service planning

• Support team meetings within child and family services

Requirements:

• Certificate or diploma in relevant fields

• Knowledge of Haisla culture and services

• Experience in community support or advocacy

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Valid Driver’s Licence and ability for home visits

Drive community resilience and promote wellness by helping Haisla members access necessary support.
