Required Certification: Maine Certification in Mathematics 5-8 (300M), Mathematics 7-12 (300S), or certifiable in the State of Maine

The Kittery School District is currently seeking a highly qualified, certified Mathematics teacher to join our 8th grade team at Shapleigh School as a long term substitute. The position will start on 1/15/25 and is anticipated to end on 3/2/25.

Qualifications:

• Valid Maine 5-8 or 7-12 Mathematics certification, or be certified in the State of Maine
• Experience teaching pre‑algebra and algebra in a Proficiency Based Learning system
• Effective communication and collaboration skills as part of an interdisciplinary teaching team

Candidates must submit to a Criminal History Record Check through the Maine Department of Education.
