A government professional-services firm is seeking experienced Senior
Contract Specialists to support a potential U.S. Navy contract at a shipyard in Kittery, Maine. This is a contingent position, contingent on contract award, government approval, and meeting applicable position requirements.
The Senior Contract Specialist will lead advanced acquisition support and quality oversight across the full contract lifecycle for the most complex procurements, and mentor contract specialists. You will also lead pre-award, award, and post-award functions on complex fixed-price and cost-type actions; advanced cost/price analysis and negotiation support; peer review for FAR/DFARS compliance; on-the-job mentoring and knowledge-sharing.
Required qualifications (PWS §4.2):- 8 years of U.S. Government contracting experience (as above)
- DAWIA Contracting Professional Certification or equivalent - DAWIA Level III, or FAC-C (new)/FAC-C-DoD, or FAC-C Level III (legacy)
- Bachelor's degree (Business preferred)
- Expert federal-contracting knowledge; advanced Excel and federal-systems proficiency (as above)
- Demonstrated experience training, mentoring, or knowledge-sharing
- Location: On-site at a U.S. Navy shipyard in Kittery, Maine
- Employment: Full-time, W-2
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day

6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time - Telework: Only when approved by the government
8 years of U.S. Government contracting experience; a specified contracting certification or equivalent; a bachelor's degree; advanced Excel skills; and proficiency in federal acquisition systems.

The solicitation references an active security clearance at the time of award. The specific clearance level is currently being confirmed with the Contracting Officer.
