Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIRE FIGHTER (Captain) in the NAVY FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY PORTSMOUTH NSY.

- You will manage Fire and Emergency Services Programs to maintain a state of readiness for protecting life and property.
- You will brief senior leaders or other employees on matters on firefighting actives, personnel, and equipment.
- You will lead a crew of three or more firefighters assigned to staff a pumper, aerial ladder truck, or rescue vehicle in firefighting and rescue operations.
- You will train firefighters on shipboard, structural, confined space, and hazardous materials firefighting procedures.
- You will analyze the environment (e.g., relationship between fuels, topography, wind, humidity) in the fire environment to ensure use of the correct firefighting apparatus.
- You will analyze the structural condition of a building to determine firefighting equipment and apparatus required to fight fire.
