Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care and health promotion services under the supervision of a physician. This role delivers high-quality, patient-centered care, including preventive services, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management. The Physician Assistant will work within a collaborative, team-based clinical environment while upholding established clinical standards and supporting the organization's mission.
Provide direct patient care, including preventive services, primary diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
Monitor and manage chronic conditions in collaboration with the supervising physician
Perform or order appropriate laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic studies
Coordinate consultations and referrals for services not available within the clinic
Serve as a preceptor for providers in training as needed
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with clinic protocols
Conduct health education activities for individual patients and groups
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic performance activities
Comply with OSHA regulations and all clinic safety standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Completion of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and graduation from an accredited Family Physician Assistant program (required)
Active and unrestricted license to practice in the State of Oregon (required)
Current DEA registration and CPR certification (required)
Strong working knowledge of regulations, policies, protocols, and clinical standards related to health center licensing and operations, particularly within an FQHC environment
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative, team-based care model
Demonstrated commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse patient and staff populations
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
Professional, pleasant, and patient-focused demeanor toward patients, colleagues, and leadership
Strong teamwork and communication skills
