Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Art and Design undergraduate adjunct instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department. The department seeks adjunct instructors to support the department's General Education and minor in Arts, Literature, and Philosophy courses, teaching introduction and advanced courses such as Introduction to Drawing, Watercolors, Design and Aesthetics, Introduction to Graphic Design, Art History and related courses.
Teaching Modality:
Courses may be offered online, in person, hybrid, or in alternative formats responsive to state and local requirements. Location options include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland-Metro campus (Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching can be conducted remotely/online within the United States.
- Teach courses specified above in the areas of Drawing, Watercolors, Design, Graphic Design, Art History, and related fields.
- Develop and deliver course materials, assignments, assessments, and grading.
- Engage with students using virtual meeting and collaboration tools as needed.
- Master’s Degree or higher in Art, Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree).
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).
- Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
