Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions in order to perform all cleaning tasks that are required to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

• Prolonged standing and walking. Frequently required to bend, stoop, stretch, twist and turn while performing manual tasks that require manual dexterity.
• Lifting 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Pushing and pulling 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Physical tolerance to cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Must be able to assess situations and prioritize workload demands while coping with stressful situations.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.

• Performs daily and restorative cleaning tasks and functions in all patient care and support areas of hospital or satellite facilities.
• Delivers clean linen as needed.
• Replenishes floor stock and other housekeeping supplies as required in a cost effective manner.
• Operates and maintains all cleaning equipment in a safe and competent manner.
• Develops a working familiarity of all precautions, use and disposal methods of all chemicals used in the normal course of meeting job responsibilities.
• Removes and replaces drapes and cubicle curtains as needed.

• Acts in a charge capacity as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
