Salary: $80,000 – $90,000.00

The Resident Care Director is responsible for the overall implementation, delivery, coordination, and oversight of resident care services within a designated Residential Care Facility (RCF) area of the community. This role functions as the RCF Administrator for Oregon licensure purposes and maintains responsibility for care delivery, staffing, regulatory compliance, and resident quality of life. The Resident Care Director maintains positive working relationships with residents, families, employees, and community partners while ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
The position focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and well‑coordinated care environment that promotes resident dignity, engagement, and well‑being.
- Supervise, develop, and schedule care staff in accordance with company policies and Oregon RCF requirements.
- Oversee the resident care program for the RCF area, including assessments and reassessments per policy.
- Ensure resident records, service plans, and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain oversight of medication management in collaboration with nursing leadership, as applicable.
- Operate the care department within established budget parameters.
- Maintain high resident and family satisfaction through consistent, high‑quality care delivery, fostering an environment that promotes resident dignity, stability, and quality of life.
- Serve as the primary contact for care‑related matters within the RCF area.
- Oversee resident engagement and daily programming appropriate to resident needs and abilities.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable care regulations and Oregon‑specific RCF requirements.
- Provide direct assistance with activities of daily living as needed.
- Train and orient Care Partners and Medication Techs.
- Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and required licensure documentation.
- Support community operations by filling in as needed and collaborating across departments.
- A high school diploma is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, nursing, social services, or a related field is preferred.
- A Current RCF Administrator license in OR, or be qualified to obtain.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in assisted living or residential care settings is required.
- Prior leadership experience overseeing care teams and familiarity with Oregon RCF requirements strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic computer systems, including Word and Excel.
- Experience supporting residents with cognitive impairment or higher care needs is a plus.
- Must meet Oregon RCF Administrator requirements, as applicable.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, strong time‑management, judgment, and ethical standards.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and be on‑call as required.
