DRUG-GEN MDSE/CLERK – Kroger Mountain View Foods

We are looking for a dedicated Associate to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The Ideal candidate will help maintain a safe, clean environment, support the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, and uphold our quality assurance standards.

Position Summary

The role involves engaging customers, providing product knowledge, and ensuring the department's operational excellence.

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of drug generation specials.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs.
• Review “sell by” dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Reinforce safety programs, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and report needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks, including theft and fraud.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Retail experience.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math.
