This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in fulfilment, logistics, and eCommerce, while also using your existing skills. Volunteering in our retail team is a great way to make new friends and have fun.
There is no minimum time commitment – whether you can do a few hours a week or once a month, we’ll do our best to offer a role that fits your schedule. No previous experience is necessary as training will be provided.
If you decide to apply, a member of the volunteering team will contact you and ask you to come in for an initial chat. This is not an interview, just a chance to get an idea of what the role will involve. It is also a great opportunity to see the warehouse and meet the people you will be volunteering with.

Why we want youOur Volunteer eCommerce Fulfilment Assistants play an essential role in the smooth running of our online shop while raising vital funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research. If you have an eye for detail, enjoy hands‑on work, are organised, and want to make a difference, this could be the role for you.
What you will be doing- Select and gather sold items from our inventory and prepare them for dispatch.
- Carefully pack items to create a positive unboxing experience, focusing on both presentation and protection during transit.
- Organise and label packages for daily collection by our dispatch provider, ensuring accurate and timely shipping while maintaining attention to detail.
- Review each order before it’s packed, checking items for quality and accuracy so that every customer receives exactly what they ordered.
- Help keep our dispatch area organised by monitoring packing supplies to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment to keep you and the people around you safe.

We need one reference and proof of home address for all volunteers. There is training required for this role.
