An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join the welcoming and well-established team at Presteigne Medical Centre, part of the Shropdoc family. This is more than a clinical role, it’s an opportunity to shape new models of rural primary care and make a real impact on local communities.
The successful post-holder will work as a salaried GP providing primary care for approximately 3,600 patients. Presteigne is part of the Mid-Powys Primary Care Cluster, which has a combined list size of around 31,000 patients.
Job responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality clinical care via consultations, triage, and home visits.
* Manage long-term conditions and supervise clinical staff.
* Prescribe in line with local and national guidance.
* Contribute to audits, governance, and quality improvement.
* Mentor and lead within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Criteria :
* Full GMC Registration with License to Practice.
* Relevant higher degree ie: MRCGP or equivalent.
* On the GMC GP Register & Welsh Medical Performers List.
* Experience in NHS General Practice & Primary Care.
* Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent).
* Excellent communication, IT, and team-working skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and commit to on-call duties.
