About this Role

The Vale Primary Academy are looking to appoint a HLTA and TA L1 to join our academy in October 2026 on a permanent, part time basis.

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant Level 1, you will work under the direct instruction oft eaching/senior staff, usually in a classroom with the teacher. You will support pupils to ensure they can access learning and provide general supportto the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

As a HLTA, you will complementteachers' delivery of the curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, pupils and academy policies and strategies. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist them in the whole planning cycleand the management/preparation of resources. You will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will provide support to pupils,teachers and the academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all, by utilising your advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes and to encourage pupils tobecome independent learners.

You will provide support for pupil welfare and support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of academy life.
