Job OverviewAs the company continues to invest and expand, we are looking for an experienced CNC Setter, Operator, Programmer to strengthen our team and support our ongoing growth.
Hours and CompensationMonday – Thursday 8am – 4pm
Fridays – 8am – 1pm
Overtime available: 1.5×

CNC Setter, Operator, Programmer
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines to tight tolerances.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD/CAM information.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to suit materials and operations.
- Carry out in‑process checks using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Complete work safely, efficiently, and within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate records and job documentation.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and colleagues to optimise machining processes.
- Support workshop housekeeping and ensure machinery remains clean and well maintained.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and promote safe working practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop.
- Demonstrable experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision engineering environment.
- Ability to program at the machine (experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens controls is advantageous).
- Strong understanding of machining methods, tooling selection, and materials.
- Capable of working independently with full ownership of quality and output.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing top‑quality work.
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Good communicator with strong teamwork skills.
