Clinic Scheduler- PRN

This is a PRN (as needed) position.

Under the general supervision of Clinic Director, the Clinic Scheduler is responsible for all activities surrounding appointments for clinic patients and assisting with chart review/auditing.

• Has initial contact with the patient and is responsible for providing comprehensive, coordinated and seamless service to the patients.
• Obtains current and accurate demographic and insurance information
• Makes patient appointments appropriately according to templates and insurance.
• Validates the status of insurance.
• Makes appropriate referrals to assist the uninsured population.
• Performs telephone duties as required and routes calls to appropriate staff. Routes messages appropriately per protocol.
• Maintains overall understanding of clinic functions and escorts patients and public to the proper destination.
• Conducts themselves so as to provide the best Patient experience possible. Closes patient appointment with short survey of visit.
• Leads daily huddles with providers.
• Completes Chart Audits for scheduled Medicare patients.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Mandatory Report Training
• Computer skills required
• Insurance Knowledge is preferred
• Healthcare Background preferred
• Exceptional Customer Service skills required.
• Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.

This is a PRN (as needed) position and is eligible for retirement benefits through a 403b plan.
