Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) – FT

Knoxville Hospital and Clinics – Full‑time position (36 hours per week with occasional Saturdays). This RN works in clinic settings, assessing patient care needs, integrating nursing theory and research into practice, and providing leadership to nursing team members.

• Assist provider with office procedures.
• Under provider’s supervision, give medication and injections and immunizations.
• As directed by a physician, refill medications.
• Instruct patients on preparation for tests.
• Assure patients are seen in an orderly and fair manner and ensure that acutely ill or injured patients are triaged and seen first.
• Explain delays and waiting times.
• Exhibit cooperation and a positive attitude toward co‑workers, providers, patients and visitors.
• Triage patients as the need arises.
• Positively contribute to department and organization quality goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current registration and a valid license with the Board of Iowa Nursing.
• Previous clinic experience is preferred but not required.
• Must possess the technical skills associated with the tasks and functions described.
• Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
