We’re adding a Payroll Assistant to help keep multi‑entity, multi‑state payroll running smoothly. You’ll verify time, maintain clean payroll data, support payroll tax workflows, and deliver outstanding service to employees. If you enjoy attention to detail, problem‑solving, and a fast‑paced team environment, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and assist with biweekly payroll runs; verify timecards, premiums, overtime, commissions, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll data in Paycom (new hires, rate changes, deductions, terminations).
  • Help set up new tax jurisdictions; scan and log tax notices; track resolutions; assist with multi‑state compliance.
  • Administer wage garnishments, child support, HSA/HRA/FSA and benefit payroll deductions.
  • Generate payroll, tax, and reconciliation reports for audits and accounting close.
  • Respond to pay inquiries; explain earnings statements, taxes, and deductions with a service mindset.
  • Partner with HR, Benefits, and Accounting to ensure accurate funding, GL interfaces, and period close.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • 2 years in payroll, HR, or accounting (multi‑state/multi‑entity experience a plus).
  • Proficiency in Paycom (or similar HRIS), Excel (lookups, pivots), and basic report building.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, time management, and clear communication.
  • High school diploma required; associate’s in accounting/finance/HR preferred.
  • Experience with payroll tax workflows (registrations, notices, reconciliations).
  • Knowledge of wage & hour rules (overtime, premium pay), garnishments, and benefits funding.
