Position Summary
Provides a safe and secure environment for children while engaging them in developmentally appropriate activities. Works as a team member with the specialist, lead teacher, and suite members.

• Work as a team member with specialist, teacher, and suite members.
• Assist in developing class goals and objectives.
• Assist in planning and implementing activities for children based on developmentally appropriate practice.
• Monitor children's developmental progress.
• Maintain necessary records.
• Prepare teaching materials; arrange room and provide needed materials.
• Oversee maintenance of the environment and notify supervisor when a work order needs to be submitted.
• Communicate daily with parents in either written or oral form; conduct parent conferences.
• Prepare developmental assessments as children progress through the class.
• Provide for the safety and security of the children in the classroom; assure children's physical needs are met consistently.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings when scheduled.
• Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards; complete required education assignments annually. Work toward achieving goals and objectives, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to three (1-3) years of childcare experience preferred.
• Infant-Child CPR and First Aid certification required or must be attained during employment. Renewed every three (3) years.
