Childcare Bus Driver

Kids First, Inc. is a licensed childcare center seeking a Bus Driver! This is an exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid F Endorsement driver’s license
  • Ability to pass all background checks
  • Must be 23 years of age or older
  • Preferred: previous childcare experience
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Compensation: $15‑$16/hr (based on education and experience)
Main

Job Responsibilities
  • Transport children daily while following state and health regulations pertaining to duties
  • Follow proper protocol and submit required paperwork to the Director in a timely manner
  • Communicate with parents effectively, both written and verbally
  • Support coordinating field trips and communicate logistics, procedures, and expectations to administration, teachers, and parents
  • Mentor and train substitute bus drivers to cover absences
  • Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus
  • Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
