Construction Cad Designer

Our rapidly-growing construction company is in need of a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring our client’s dreams to life! You’ll serve as our primary architectural drafter and produce original, computer-generated designs in 2D and 3D. Additional responsibilities include meeting with clients, integrating feedback, and revising designs as requested. Communication skills are a must in this role, as you’ll be regularly communicating the design progress to the construction team.

• Work with construction team members to establish a timeline and budget for the design
• Attend preliminary meetings with the client to understand the project specifications and scope
• Receive feedback from construction team members and clients and revise designs accordingly
• Research material properties in large databases to identify the best materials for modeling
• Utilize computer software to generate 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the project specifications
• Notify superintendents and project managers of the design’s progress and when the designs are complete

Qualifications:

• Proficient in using architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Auto Desk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier:
Construction Drawings, Sketch Up, and Lumion
• Two-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, construction engineering, design, or related field is preferred
• Highly attuned to detail and possess excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
• At least 2 years of experience in architectural design
• Stay informed about architectural design software trends and knowledgeable about the industry as a whole Compensation: 50000 - 65000 yearly
