Title

Adjunct Instructor – Hazardous Waste Controls Instructor

Position Summary

To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students and assisting students as they learn and master course learning outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Facilitating instruction as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi
  • Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned to the specific section(s)
  • Regularly and frequently evaluating and reporting the academic progress of students
  • Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook
  • Submitting grades and attendance as the instructors of record
  • Communicating with students and other faculty using the College email messaging system
  • Required Qualifications
    • Minimum a master’s degree in the teaching field or completion of at least 18 graduate semester hours (or equivalent) in the teaching field and hold a master’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university
    • Or an associate’s degree in the teaching field or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college/university and three years’ work experience in the field
    Availability/Closing Date

Adjuncts are hired on an as-needed basis. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer. Postings close yearly on January 31; to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re‑apply each year.
