• Coordinating with client and Mesa engineers, various engineering disciplines, local county and state regulatory bodies, and other parties involved to produce the necessary drawing packages.
• Design of substation steel supports, foundations, and other civil and structural tasks associated with substation design.
• Perform structural analysis and design of substation steel and concrete elements (transformer and equipment foundations, control building foundations, oil containment, cable trenches, support structures, steel framing, and switch rack design).
• Prepare calculations and sealed design deliverables, develop construction drawings and specifications, and review shop drawings.
• Apply relevant codes and standards (ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NESC/IEEE as applicable).
• Use industry software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA/SAP
  2000, AutoCAD/Micro Station/Revit) and coordinate with project teams to support timely, constructible designs.

• B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering (M.S. a plus)
• 1–5 years of relevant experience; utility/substation experience strongly preferred but not required
• EIT or working toward PE licensure
• Strong technical writing, organization, and communication skills
• Proactive problem-solving ability and capability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
• Occasional site visits and construction support; opportunities for professional development and mentorship

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
• 1 to 5 years’ experience
• Professional Engineer (PE), desirable but not required
