# ABS - Financial Analyst Knoxville, TN ## Overview Salary Range $5,000.00 Salary Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education  Level4 Year Degree Category Finance ## Description Join ABS Tag & Title as a Financial Analyst, where you'll turn data into insights, support strategic decisions, and help drive meaningful business results. The Financial Analyst supports the Accounting department by pulling, organizing, and analyzing financial and operational data to help guide business decisions.

This role is responsible for developing accurate reports, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights that support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes. The Financial Analyst also completes special projects and ad hoc requests from Accounting and Finance leadership, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities:

*** Pull, compile, and organize financial and accounting data from ERP, general ledger, and other internal systems.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of concern; summarize findings in clear, concise reports.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for department and executive review.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry support.
* Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by gathering historical data and building supporting schedules and models.
* Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget/forecast and communicate explanations to management.
* Develop and maintain spreadsheets, templates, and reporting tools to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
* Complete special projects and ad hoc data requests from the Controller, Accounting Manager, and other stakeholders.
* Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
* Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data integrity across systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, HR) to gather data and ensure consistency of reporting.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times.
* Perform other duties and analyses as assigned.## Qualifications
** Required

Skills and Abilities:

*** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas); experience with Power BI or similar tools a plus.
* Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Quick Books) preferred.  Microsoft Dynamics Business Central a strong plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present data clearly to non-financial audiences.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Education & Experience:

*** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
* Minimum 3 years experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis.
* Experience must include data and variance analysis for financial/accounting transactions.

Physical Requirements:

*** Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
* Position is in a well-lighted, temperature controlled office environment. Typically Monday through Friday workweeks. Occasional evening and weekend work could be necessary.
* Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day for long periods of time, walking or standing the remainder. Involves long periods of looking at a backlit computer monitor, concentrating and paying attention to details.
