Overview
KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate, Category Management Lead for IT Contract Renewals within our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization. The role focuses on IT software/SaaS category management, contract renewals, and supplier relationships to drive cost effectiveness, risk reduction, and value across the contract lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Provide sourcing category expertise in IT Contract Renewals and develop category strategies based on spend data, supply market dynamics, category intelligence, and business requirements; implement strategies for tracking technology-related maintenance and support renewals throughout contract life cycles.
- Perform due diligence, obtain supplier quotes proactively, provide renewal notifications, confirm requirements with business owners, identify areas for cost reduction, negotiate best price, and process renewals in line with contracts and compliance requirements.
- Conduct complex data analysis and build financial models (ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, make-versus-buy decisions); execute strategic sourcing projects to deliver total value with key stakeholders across the Firm.
- Manage the IT Contract Renewals supplier base by reviewing obligations, service levels, risks, and business expectations; develop and execute negotiation strategies to maximize value and minimize risks.
- Partner with the business to influence, educate, and enforce procurement policies, ensure adoption, and manage supplier performance; drive continuous improvement and innovation; address performance issues with root-cause analysis and collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Collaborate with legal and other areas to ensure proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum three years of related experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, outsourcing, and project management; combination of management consulting and line role experience is desired.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required.
- Good working knowledge of Service Now; familiarity with common contractual issues to mitigate risk and negotiate IT renewals; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; solid understanding of contract terms and risk management; ability to build strong trusting relationships with business partners.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and influencing skills to navigate a complex organization with ambiguity; ability to lead, support, and conduct successful negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Solid organizational, time management, and project management skills; ability to execute multiple projects and negotiations simultaneously; strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
