Lifetime Products Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Mascot, Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes through Lean principles and recommending equipment for the blow‑molding production and logistics departments on all shifts. You will work in an energetic team of professionals in a fast‑paced, state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing environment. Must be self‑motivated, proactive, organized and have excellent communication skills, as well as a good attitude towards teamwork and cooperation with all team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work closely with production, logistics, maintenance and engineering teams
- Design, set up, and support product assembly and packaging lines
- Analyze and optimize material flow and process efficiency
- Create and maintain routings and costing
- Develop processes and write process documents and work instructions
- Identify equipment needs
- Troubleshoot assembly and packaging equipment
- Deploy new products
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET)
- Proficiency with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies and manufacturing cost
- Ability to read, write and interpret routine reports, safety rules, procedure manuals and general business documents
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD; 3D CAD experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to present in front of groups
- Lean manufacturing experience or certification is a plus
