Warehouse Supervisor – Fiberglass Boat Manufacturer

Location: Eastern Tennessee (Not a remote opportunity, relocation assistance available)

Recruiter: Tom Cassidy, The Marine Industry Recruiter,

Summary: Building great boats starts with having the right parts in the right place. In this hands‑on role, you’ll lead warehouse operations in a high‑mix manufacturing environment, keeping material flowing, inventory accurate, and production moving. As Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll oversee day‑to‑day warehouse activities from receipt through point‑of‑use, managing inventory across 3,000+ SKUs while driving accuracy, efficiency, and strong team performance. If you enjoy problem‑solving on the floor, improving how work gets done, and staying close to the build, this role checks a lot of boxes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day‑to‑day flow of materials on the floor, from receiving and storage through picking, kitting, and delivery to production.
  • Be a visible, hands‑on leader in the warehouse, setting expectations, removing obstacles, and keeping people and parts moving.
  • Own safety, inventory accuracy, and material availability to keep production running without surprises.
  • Assign work, balance labor, and adjust priorities in real time to support changing production needs.
  • Train, coach, and hold warehouse team members accountable for performance, quality, and safety.
  • Improve how materials are stored, staged, and delivered to point of use to reduce wasted motion and delays.
  • Lead practical problem‑solving when things break down and put fixes in place that stick.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and standardized processes that support quality and ISO requirements.
  • Track warehouse metrics, manage department expenses, and communicate issues early.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse, inventory, or logistics leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing high‑mix inventories with 3,000+ SKUs.
  • Strong working knowledge of material handling, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with MRP/ERP systems (QAD or SAP preferred).
  • Comfortable using Excel and basic reporting to track inventory and performance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams on the floor, solve problems, and keep operations running smoothly.
