Slinger – CNC Machine Shop
Hardin Valley company is seeking a Slinger. Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm Must be able to lift up to 50lbs $18.00/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Slinger to support material handling and CNC machining operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for safely rigging, lifting, moving, positioning, and staging raw materials and finished components using overhead cranes, hoists, slings, chains, and other lifting equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working around CNC machines, heavy steel or metal components, overhead cranes, and industrial lifting equipment. Strong attention to safety and the ability to work closely with CNC operators and other production personnel are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely rig, lift, move, position, and stage materials and components throughout the CNC shop.
- Select the appropriate slings, chains, hooks, shackles, and lifting devices based on the size, weight, and configuration of the load.
- Attach and secure loads properly before lifting or moving materials.
- Operate or assist with the operation of overhead cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment.
- Load and unload raw materials, steel, machined parts, and other components from CNC machines.
- Position materials accurately for CNC operators and production personnel.
- Assist with turning, rotating, and repositioning large or heavy work pieces during the machining process.
- Inspect slings, chains, hooks, and other rigging equipment before use.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 Per Hour
