Regional Neonatal Associates is looking for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with newborn experience to staff the Level 1 nursery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Full‑time preferred. The Level III NICU is adjacent to the newborn care area and the average daily newborn census is 30 with around 5200 deliveries per year.

• Daily rounds on newborns including admissions and discharges under supervision by the neonatology team.
• Management of newborns requiring a higher level of care with assistance from the NICU team.
• Interpretation of laboratories and radiologic studies.
• Understanding of how maternal health, disease processes and treatments affect the newborn.
• Instructing medical residents, physician assistant students and medical students with the normal newborn exam and common newborn issues in conjunction with neonatologists.
• Option for precepting other nurse practitioner students.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Licensure and certification in good standing with the State Board.
• NRP certified or agreement to become certified.
• Newborn care experience preferred.
