Full Time, 80 hours per pay period, Day shifts

Parkwest Surgery is a growing, cutting‑edge facility. The latest expansion will total 30 surgery suites, specializing in orthopedics, cardiovascular, robotics, gynecology, and urology services. The environment is fast‑paced and exciting, with opportunities for staff advancement and clinical education for scrub techs, nurses, physician assistants, and medical students.

Position Summary

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and evaluates outcomes.
  • Problem‑solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision.
  • Introduces new employees/students to unit routines.
  • Participates on unit‑based committees.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) appropriate to the age‑specific needs of the population served.
  • Supervises LPNs, nursing assistants, HUCs, techs, and sitters.li>
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards; completes required education assignments annually; works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education

None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

Minimum Experience

New graduate, within first year of orientation (move to level II after one year of experience).

Licensure Requirements

Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN license. CPR required.
