We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our growing team! The center offers Respite Care, continuing Long-term Care, and Short Term Rehabilitation to home. Westmoreland has been a valuable part of the community for the past 40 years.

Your Role in the Organization

Sign on Bonus (Full-time): LPN $3,500

The primary purpose of the job position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Joins a company with expertise and enthusiasm for quality of care and life enrichment for those who have entrusted us with their care.

Qualifications

Must have a valid unencumbered nursing license. Must have valid CPR/BLS certification or be willing to obtain during orientation.

Essential Elements of Your Job
  • Lead and support all functions related to quality for care for our residences.
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
  • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
  • Complete processes and paperwork related to Admission, transfer and discharge of our residents.
  • Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physicians  Order Form. Transcribe physician s orders to resident charts, medication records treatment/care plans, as required.
  • Chart nurses  notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident s response to the care.
