Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring CVOR circulating experience and the ability to float to General surgery services.

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required, must be in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required, including ability to float to General surgery
• Experience circulating and with conscious sedation monitoring required
• Skilled in cardiovascular and vascular procedures such as CABG, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, and EVAR
• Experience with cell saver, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic light sources/cords
• Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of start date

• Work in the CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR within the surgical services department
• Performs cardiovascular and vascular procedures including CABG, TEVAR, EVAR, and TAVR
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM-3:15 PM
• Call required 3-4 nights per week (3 PM-7 AM) and every other weekend, with holiday rotation
• Floating required to other services including General, Ortho, GYN, Urology, Robotics, Plastics, and ENT
• Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Responsible for circulating during cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Perform infection control, specimen handling, and Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures
• Maintain compliance with emergency management protocols including fire safety and malignant hyperthermia response
• Floating is conducted in accordance with facility policy and Joint Commission standards, with appropriate orientation provided
• RTO is not pre-approved at time of booking and must be discussed with the manager during the assignment
• RTO cannot occur within 14 days of the start date and cannot exceed 7 days
• No RTO permitted during major holidays, holiday weekends, or surrounding days
• Previous perm staff cannot return to the same campus within 24 months, but may return to another Covenant Health campus after 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate
• Local candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
