Travel RN - Med​/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with at least 2 years of acute care experience and Cerner EMR proficiency.

• Active, unencumbered TN or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting required
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR required
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Acute Care Float position with unit assignments determined by the nursing supervisor at the time of staffing
• Floats across multiple units including Medical, Surgery/GI, Trauma, Observation, Oncology, Nephrology, Ortho, Joint Replacement, Neuro, Vascular, Pulmonary, Cardiac Surgery, and Cardiac
• Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6, varying according to need
• Requires working every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care across a variety of acute care units as assigned by nursing supervisors
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous travelers in good standing are eligible to return
• Travel pairs are permitted
