American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of PICU experience, BLS/PALS certification, and a TN or compact RN license.

• Work in a 14-bed PICU with 11 private rooms and one semi-private area of 3 beds
• Patient population ranges from infants to 21 years old
• Common diagnoses include DKA, respiratory failure, pneumonia, status asthmatic us, trauma, sepsis, seizures, and post-surgical cases
• Bedside procedures include central/arterial line placement, chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, and EVD/bolt placement
• Uses Philips monitors, Servo ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours,
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating to other units required as needed

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers
• Two professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing for pediatric patients with complex respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular, and post-surgical needs
• Skills in ventilator management, central/arterial line care, and ICP monitoring are valued
• Experience with continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations is beneficial
• Travelers who have oriented at this facility within the past year are not required to reorient
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
