Lovell Animal Hospital provides personalized care for cats, dogs, and some pocket pets. Our patient‑centric approach drives everything we do, so we strive every day to exceed our client's expectations with thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate pet care. We treat primarily cats and dogs; however, we hold a special place in our hearts for guinea pigs and rabbits.

More about the Role

We are so excited to add another veterinarian to our awesome team!

Our 2‑doctor veterinary team has many years of experience and we're lucky to be supported by a team of experienced technicians, assistants, and CSRs. Our busy practice is equipped with digital radiology, in‑house labs, ultrasound, laser therapies, and more to provide our clientele with top‑of‑the‑line medicine daily.

We welcome an experienced associate veterinarian ready to help take on our growing new patient list. Our clients are invested in the care of their pets and will want to form a tight‑knit bond with you as soon as you start!

We also welcome any surgical interest as we hope to continue expanding our surgical caseload!

Both full and part time positions are available.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
