We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The main purpose of the Quality Technician position is to perform online quality audits, raw materials testing, product testing and report test results as needed. This position supports the Manufacturing, Technical Service, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, and Research & Development departments in raw stock, in‑process labels, and finished label testing relative to established specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform audits per applicable sampling plans, shipping, and converting audits.
  • Assist in data integrity, testing methodology standardization, and non‑conformance material containment processes.
  • Support process capability testing and routine inspection and testing of product.
  • Communicate effectively with other Quality Department team members and Operations.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment daily.
  • Perform aged testing for all departments and project testing for technical teams.
  • Maintain quality record documentation, including internal audit records, management review meeting minutes, calibration records, training records, non‑conformance reports, customer complaints, vendor non‑conformance, corrective action reports, and action items.
  • Perform product inspection audits to ensure products meet or exceed specified standards.
  • Create and manage color standards.
  • Assist in the management of Process Control Plans and Product Spec Sheets (Quality Windows Software).
  • Use measurement tools such as UPC, Verifier, Scales, Ruler, Calipers, Static Meter, Sutherland Rub Tester, etc.
  • Manage non‑conformance product procedures and the Quality Hold Area.
  • Provide training on new quality processes and best practices.
  • Document R&D projects.
  • Perform QA laboratory testing as required for specified product lines.
  • Follow all plant and department safety rules and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Understand ISO or BRC and HACCP or similar principles and assist in facilitating compliance.
  • Comply with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two to four years of experience or related education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to perceive color, close vision, distance, and focus.
  • Physical ability to stoop, bend, lift, and stand.
