We currently have an opportunity for a Full Time server at a beautiful senior living community in Knoxville, TN. Open interviews are held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10am to 12pm. Address: 1932 Falling Waters Rd, Knoxville, TN 37922 (Prime West Knoxville). Ask for Lissette in Culinary.

Position Summary

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents  needs. Assists the cook in the preparation and service of meals, meeting scheduled meal times following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure residents receive the highest quality of service.

• Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts, and set and clean assigned dining areas to serve residents.
• Accurately record temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhere to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

• 1 year food service preferred
• Fluent in English including reading, writing and speaking
• Ability to communicate clearly to all levels within the community
• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents understanding their special needs
• Must be able to follow directions and follow through on assignments
• Ability to work with others as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Serv Safe is desirable

High school diploma or GED

• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Excellent customer service skills

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Hourly Wage: $15 per hour
