Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Inform guests of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Know and communicate the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards
• Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain and demonstrate features of the Target app, including Wallet
• Understand Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
• Handle returns by following policies and consulting leaders as needed
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
• Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work safely and report hazards; comply with safety policies and training
• Support guest services such as Order Pick Up and Drive Up while adhering to applicable laws
• Other duties as needed based on business needs

Basics we expect from you:

• Accurate checkout operations and support for cash office tasks
• Safe handling and movement of merchandise; physical ability to lift up to 44 pounds with assistance as needed
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Mobility for the duration of your shift
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions as required for Drive-Up and other duties
