Place Services Inc. is hiring a Refrigeration Startup Technician located primarily in the Knoxville, TN area. This position requires day and night shift work and offers a highly competitive compensation package.

$37.00/hr - $48.00/hr

• Travel to customer locations to install and set up refrigeration systems according to specifications and design plans, ensuring all components are properly connected and calibrated for efficient operation.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to refrigeration equipment; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities, documenting equipment specifications, performance data, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all installation and maintenance activities, conducting thorough inspections to verify adherence to quality assurance protocols.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate project timelines and objectives, communicating effectively to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

• High School/GED and either completion/certification from an HVAC‑R technical school or two years of experience in HVAC‑R is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the direct onsite service and repair of parallel rack refrigeration systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills needed to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Availability to work nights and/or weekends.
• Physical ability to walk distances, bend, crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift or carry objects up to fifty pounds repeatedly for an extended period.
