Responsibilities :

Repair trailers and operate tools daily.

Perform quality repairs and maintenance on heavy trailers and refrigerated trailers following manufacturer procedures or industry standards.

Work on trailers, including repairing top and bottom rails, replacing panels, bumpers, welding, and body swaps.

Accurately complete all paperwork, including work orders and certification inspection documentation.

Adhere to all safety standards and protocols.

Perform various repairs, maintenance, installations, replacements, and diagnostics efficiently, accurately, and safely, in accordance with company policies.

Job Requirements :

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 3 years of repair and maintenance experience in a heavy trailer or fleet dealership/shop environment.
Factory-trained certifications are preferred.
Manufacturer factory training is a plus.
Own tools to perform work on all equipment.
Knowledge of A/C systems, brake systems, emission systems, air systems, and diesel engine diagnostics/troubleshooting.
Basic computer skills with diagnostic program use.
Possess or be capable of obtaining a CDL license.
Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and MVR check.

Required Experience and Certifications :

Minimum 3 years of trailer mechanic experience.
ASE electrical and air brake system certification.
CDL license preferred.
Certified welder is a plus.

Possible job titles include:
Mechanic, Technician, Service Mechanic, Heavy Technician, Engine Technician, Master Tech, Service Tech, Truck Tech, and related roles in trucking and heavy equipment maintenance.
