Overview

CDL Bus Driver — Knoxville, TN. $1500 Sign-On Bonus (CDL Required).

• $1500 Sign-On Bonus
• Starting pay up to $20.60 per hour with progression by years of service (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
• Vacation: up to 14 days per year
• Unpaid Sick Leave: 16 hours yearly; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days for full-time employees; life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays

• Safety-Focused Operations:
  Execute operations by following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Passenger Care:
  Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
• Vehicle Vigilance:
  Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
• Adherence to Protocols:
  Enforce company policies, including seat belt enforcement, emergency readiness, and regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as required

• 21 years or older
• Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsements
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical per 49 CFR Part 40; non-authorization of Schedule I drugs (e.g., cannabis)

• Work outside in varying temperatures and weather; 100% of the job performed outside; work alone in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours); walk long distances and on uneven surfaces
• Push/Pull up to weight limits; lift up to 50 lbs; bend, kneel, or crouch as needed
• Withstand heavy traffic; tolerate dust, vehicle fumes and noise
