We are working in partnership with a well-established multi-site organisation based in Knutsford to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team. This is a key role within the organisation, supporting accounting activities across multiple business units. The successful candidate will be confident, organised, and proactive, and will play an integral role in ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations.

Accountant Duties
  • Managing day-to-day accounting activities across multiple business units

  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports

  • Performing stock checks and month-end reconciliations

  • Assisting the Senior Accountant and management team with ad-hoc financial tasks

  • Supporting compliance and governance processes as required

  • Working collaboratively within a small finance team while managing individual responsibilities

Essential Experience Required

To be successful in your application you MUST have the following:

  • Previous experience within an accounts function

  • Strong knowledge of accounting routines, month-end processes, and reconciliations

  • Experience using an ERP or dealer management system desirable

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

  • Highly organised with attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site commercial environment
