Job Purpose
To manage and monitor third‑party risk and performance to meet the requirements of the Barclays Third‑Party Service Provider Policy and Standards, through control execution, commercial management, relationship and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute the Third Party Service Provider control processes, oversee providers and their performance, monitor KPIs to guarantee expectations are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholder groups to produce deliverables that meet procurement needs, policies and standards, mitigate Third Party risks and issues and ensure relationships align with the bank’s needs and business strategy.
- Identify suitable Third Party Service Providers through market research, capabilities analysis and contract negotiation.
- Monitor control operations to meet Barclays Third Party Service Provider Management Standards and contractual obligations, including quality standards, risk mitigation and commercial activity.
- Collaborate with regulatory teams to support global regulatory requests, examinations and ongoing activity.
- Lead and develop team members or, as an individual contributor, act as a subject‑matter expert within the discipline, guiding technical direction and influencing cross‑functional areas.
- Advise key stakeholders and senior management on functional and cross‑functional impacts, manage and mitigate risks, and demonstrate accountability for strengthening controls.
- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, adopt outcomes of research in problem‑solving processes, and build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in third‑party/supplier risk management or a closely related function.
- Strong strategic thinking capability with the ability to influence and lead decision‑making.
- Demonstrated leadership and change‑management experience, including driving initiatives in evolving environments.
- Highly adaptable and resilient, able to respond effectively to change.
- Self‑starter mindset with strong drive and accountability for delivery.
- Formal qualification or recognised discipline in risk management, procurement, compliance, or a related field.
- Key critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology capabilities, and job‑specific technical skills.
This role is based in Knutsford, Northampton or Glasgow.
