The role will include responsibility for new projects and the ongoing development of current products. You will work collaboratively with departments, suppliers, and customers, providing support to the team.

Key duties:

• Evaluation of problems and requirements to design new parts and/or modify existing parts.
• Creating technical drawings for new and existing parts.
• Creation of CAD-based technical documentation.
• Leading and contributing to design discussions.
• Progressing projects from conceptual design to production.
• Responsible for creating new bills of materials and manipulating existing bills.

• Specific experience in sheet metal design and mechatronics.
• Working knowledge or interest in electrics and/or hydraulics beneficial.
• Experience testing designs and components against relevant standards.

• UK-based Degree in a STEM subject.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a design or manufacturing role.
• Experience in mechanical assembly using hand and electrical tools.
• Experience with 3D CAD modelling and technical drawing.
• Creating and manipulating BOMs.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under pressure.
• Experience of safe working practices and using PPE.
• IT literate, including competence with Microsoft Office.
• Proficient at working with spreadsheets.
• Well-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to demonstrate lateral and creative thinking.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
