Project Coordinator

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to work on a permanent basis for a large manufacturing company near Knutsford.

Salary is c £40-43,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company pension

The Project Coordinator will support the successful delivery of engineering projects from order handover through to factory acceptance and customer sign-off. The role involves coordinating project activities, managing documentation, communicating with customers and internal teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator:

• Coordinate engineering projects from order receipt through to completion.
• Clarify customer requirements and communicate technical specifications internally.
• Produce and maintain project plans, milestones, and documentation.
• Monitor project progress, liaising with production, assembly, and design teams to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Support equipment testing, validation, and pre-delivery inspections against agreed specifications.
• Provide regular updates to customers throughout the build process.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Resolve issues proactively and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Person Specification for the Project Coordinator:

• Minimum 3 years' experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or SME environment.
• Experience with in food processing, chemicals, or bulk handling industries would be advantageous but is not essential.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering schematic drawings.
• Experience working closely with assembly, production, or manufacturing teams.
• At least two years of demonstrable project coordination or project engineering experience.
• Well organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
