Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering personalised care plans and fostering positive relationships with clients. Responsibilities
  • Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Supporting the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients in care homes or during home visits
  • Administering medication as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided)
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
  • Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Driving between different care locations as required (must have valid driving licence)
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment for all clients by adhering to health and safety protocols
Requirements
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel between care settings or clients’ homes
  • Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
  • Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
