Senior Cyber Operations Test Manager - AVP

Position Overview

Cyber Operations Test Manager – responsible for monitoring operational controls, implementing and managing security controls, and responding to threats to protect the bank from potential cyber-attacks.

• Manage security monitoring systems, including intrusion prevention and detection systems, to alert, detect and block potential cyber‑security incidents and provide prompt response to restore normal operations with minimized system damage.
• Identify emerging cyber‑security threats, attack techniques and technologies; collaborate with networks and conferences to gain industry knowledge.
• Manage and analyze security information and event management (SIEM) systems to collect, correlate and analyze security logs, events and alerts.
• Triage data‑loss‑prevention alerts to identify and prevent sensitive data from being exfiltrated from the bank’s network.
• Lead the management of cyber‑security incidents, including remediation and driving to closure.

• Advise and influence decision making; contribute to policy development and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions and lead a team to deliver on complex tasks.
• Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.

• Experience in cyber containment and incident response, including knowledge of the cyber‑attack lifecycle, ransomware, malware and threat containment strategies.
• Ability to coordinate endpoint isolation, network segmentation, account restrictions, and other containment controls during security incidents.
• Experience working with CSOC, IR, threat hunting and infrastructure teams during active incidents.
• Proficient in test management and exercise delivery: planning and executing cyber recovery, cyber resilience, tabletop and technical containment exercises; defining test objectives, success criteria, scenarios and reporting outcomes.
• Experience managing defect tracking, lessons learned, remediation activities and continuous improvement programs.
• Stakeholder leadership and governance experience coordinating across technology, security, business and third‑party teams; producing executive‑ready reports, risk assessments and decision papers.
